ANALYSIS OF NEIGHBORING IP
A Semantic analysis of the medical device space was conducted represented by 80,000 patents globally. Location of client's prospective IP (not shown) and technical evaluation of nearest semantic neighbors was generated. Periodic surveillance of the changing landscape was provided.
ACQUISITION DILIGENCE
A large multinational firm wanted a semantic mapping of all drug delivery patents over 20 years to assess the benefit of a billion dollar hostile acquisition. The mapping showed a clear strategic opportunity for the takeover.

A division of a large multinational firm needed a semantic review of the presbyopia space globally. The patent search, analysis, and report indicated a definite opportunity space in novel vision correction devices and procedures.

Multiple clients have been concerned about the changing landscape of patent filings in foreign jurisdictions. Updated maps for clients have revealed movements from one market location to another giving important early notification of potential business changes.

Multiple clients have been interested in the prospects for their portfolio holdings in adjacent markets. Mapping of their patents with those from adjacent technical areas has revealed opportunities for context shifting into medical applications where much higher margins are available.
CLIENT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
We have managed a number of global portfolios for clients. This included drafting assistance, responses to office actions in the various jurisdictions, liaison with inventors and experts, and participation in FTO opinion. We have served as expert witnesses for infringement proceedings.
